Connect Spinify with Your Office TV

Before you can display your channels on your TV, you'll need a way to link your MySpinify account to your TV! Essentially, you'll need to run a Chrome browser on your TV so you can display your competitions, achievements, and messages.

You don't even need to have the latest and greatest technology to broadcast your Spinify data. As you will be broadcasting a web browser, there shouldn't be any display compatibility issues!

On this page, we've laid out a few handy suggestions for linking MySpinify with your TV.

Connections Recommended by Spinify:

Stick PCs

Stick PCs are an inexpensive and easy way to set up your TV without any cables! It's a candy-bar-sized computer that sits comfortably behind your TV and uses Chrome’s web browser. Simply plug the power into your Intel Stick, then plug a keyboard into it and bring up your Spinify Competitions in its in-built Chrome browser.

It's easy to manage, cost-effective, and even has a kiosk app that you can control from your computer over Wi-Fi!

Please see this article for a list of recommended stick PCs.

HDMI Cable

A standard HDMI cable is the simplest way to connect your desktop or laptop to the office TV. Plus, who doesn't have random HDMI cables laying around, right?!

Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the desktop or laptop environment and the other end into the TV. Switch the TV to the correct input source and that’s it! You’re ready to broadcast competitions!

Note: if you are using a slimline laptop, without an HDMI slot you will need to purchase an adapter.

Additional Options:

Chromebox

The Chromebox is a small computer that you can connect to your office TV. Simply launch the in-built Chrome web browser and have your competitions showing in no time at all!

Google Chromecast

This is another inexpensive and easy way to link to your TV without any cables. Chromecast will “cast” information from an app, web page, or specific browser tab. You can also cast an entire desktop.

Please note: Chromecast may not work as seamlessly as the HDMI cable as it's reliant on the power of the desktop or laptop, as well as Wi-Fi strength. HDMI is not dependent on WiFi, however, using a Chromecast is the easiest way to do wireless mirroring of a nearby desktop or laptop.

Link with Airtame Wireless

If you want to leave cable management behind then Airtame Wireless may be the option for you! Airtame is a small wireless HDMI device that plugs into the HDMI port of your TV, any screen, or projector. Airtame will mirror your entire desktop display wirelessly from Mac, Windows, and Linux to a TV screen.
