Just before showing one of your Competitions, the Player Profile screen chooses a random participant and showcases their Spinify points for all to see. Just like showing off the contestants before a boxing event.
You can enable the Player Profile Screen by ticking the option on the 'Announcements' page of the competition form (which can be accessed when creating or editing a competition):
